Lilith not starting with Cambion Conception.

Is this a bug? Lilith is only starting with Incubus and box of friends despite the game saying she starts with Cambion Conception.

Something about it is/was buggy. I played with her all yesterday (before and after hotfix), and it doesn't show up in the item list. No amount of damage taken led to a permanent familiar. So yeah, probably bugged in some capacity.

I've played multiple runs (to it lives) and haven't spawned any familiars after being hit.

its not a chance to appear its something specific like 15 hits then it appears

It does not seem to work for me either. I don't see it in my item list, and even after taking damage 15 times (I counted) I don't get any of the familiars

Any clarification on this?

I got the same bug, It's hard because I played a long run expecting to get more familiars and they didn't appear xDDD

I believe you need to unlock the item in order for her to start with it. Not sure about it though, but mine started "working" after that.

I spent around 30 minutes farming on Greed Mode with swallowed penny and lots of luck, going in and out of the cursed room and healing up. Ended up with around 40 devil babies and angel babies (had the innamculate conception).

you just gotta take lots of damage over time

Lol, I didn't know Cambion Conception did that. I just completed Boss Rush and both Dark Room and Chest on Hard Mode and it has never activated. If only I knew I'd have waited for a fix.
Anyway, Lilith is pretty OP right now and Cambion Conception would be reeeeeeeeeeally OP.

I just unlocked the item, and now Lilith does start with it for me. Is this a bug, or is she only supposed to start with it once you actually unlock it? This is not the case with most starter items.. By the way, the familiars you get are quite good and work well with Lilith.

A lot of the characters have unlockable items to add to their starting gear. Isaac has the D-6, Lillith the Cambion Conception, Cain the Paper Clip, etc. You need to unlock them before they become available to start with. It's meant to be a motivator to make you grind the game (and is definitely worth it)

I've had the Cambion Conception before I beat Satan as her. It's taking damage about 30 times for a familiar. That's around 15 hearts pre-Womb, so unless you're playing spectacularly poorly or abusing the scapular to farm a blood donation machine it's pretty hard to notice.

In the case of Isaac and Cain, those items are NOT shown on the character selection screen.

Lilith however did.

This is why there is an issue...
