I found a fix that worked for me http://steamcommunity.com/app/250900/discussions/0/490124466467162715/
I have no idea how to uninstall Rebirth. (I can uninstall Afterbirth, don't know how to uninstall and reinstall Rebirth) However, I did find out that, when I uninstalled Afterbirth, Rebirth still works, it's just that when Afterbirth is there for some reason it doesn't work.
1. Right-Click TBOI:R0, Properties
2. Delete Local Game Content in 'Local Files'
3. Reinstall TBOI:R with the dlc, verify the game cache
4. If it doesn't work, go to the file in C:>Steam>steamapps>common>The Binding of Isaac Rebirth
5. Delete resources
6. Verify the game cache again- it will re-download the resources part
7. Launch up the game, it will ask if you want to import your old data - Yes or No, which ever you choose.
I'm sorry if this doesn't work, it is a bit of a rough guide as I can't really recall how I did it.
Bonus: When is it imported, there seems to be a glitch where you might have a Real Platinum God save- this is a bug.
This post from 2015 made my game work again!
GOD BLESS GRANITEDRAGON!
