White golden chest?!

I opened two. They gave me some pickups, and then closed again. I didn't try to open them again because my keys ran out.

I opened one three times. In the end it gave me Max's head.

Maxs head has changed to crickets head in rebirth :p

They have a chance to reclose after opening them. I don't really know much more about them yet since they're pretty rare, I've only found 3, and 2 of them stayed open.

Looks like you can open one "holy" chest two times. 1. some pickups 2. item - Tammy head in my case.

I was in womb II and opened one, gave me two soul hearts. opened it again, gave me a few coins. opened ot again, did nothing and stayed open. these seem pretty rare but im not sure if theyre new to rebirth or afterbirth, since i have the DLC. this is the first time ive seen this and ive had the game for months now. it may have given me items bc i had bible tract as my trinket now that i think about it or it could have been luck

Those are angel chests, they contain the same stuff as golden chests but have the chance to relock. They as well have the chance to contain nothing thou. bit of a gamble. had tons of them in greed mode, OFC always when I had no keys on me XD

Last time I used one, I opened it, got nothing, but when I touched it again, it closed itself. I reopened it, got some items that a gold chest would give me (i.e fate, hearts, coins, etc.), then it became completely unusable. So what it is is a reopenable gold chest, so to speak.
