Tips on beating greed mode with Lazarus

This character has no starting items I can take to my advantage like Samson and Eve. He has horrible stats and I can't keep up with the enemies. Can I have some tips? No seeds please

I kill myself as soon as i find a soul/black heart or an hp up. The extra damage is really helpful.

Ok, how much of a damage bonus does he have?

Lazarus starts with 3,5 damage, once you've killed yourself it goes up to 4,20. That means you get the same damage cain has. It also slightly increases range, speed and sets your luck from -1 to 0. And you also get an item (anemic).

Ok, I beat it! I reset the run until I found pentagram in my free item room, killed myself and went from there. I started with 4 hearts in the fight and lost a few but regained some with gimpy. Then one of his bomb tokens blew up a shopkeeper and I got head of the keeper so I could block his shots. I won with two hearts left. Thanks for the tip

How to win greed mode as any character except lost/keeper: 1. Have D4 unlocked (destroy 30 slot machines) 2. Reset until D4 is in shop 3. Get items and keep rolling to become stupidly OP 4. Win

Or restart until you have Blank Card (unlocks after beating Isaac with Eden) in the first floor's shop, play normally, but don't spend any money, other than on Blank Card.
Once you got a bit of money, buy cards until you get 2 of Diamonds, wait/reroll for a shop with batteries, while having at least 11 coins left = GG, you broke the game.
