Angel or Demon?

Do you prefer to take devil deals or to wait for angel deals instead? Why? I, most of the time, go with angel deals, unless I'm the lost (obviously), or a character that I would percieve as evil. Even if I see good items and I really want to take, I take the gamble that my angel deals are good, which is 50/50. Sometimes I don't even get an angel deal! Other times I get incredibly powerful items which made it worth it, such as body/mind/soul, holy grail, holy mantle, god forbid sacred heart/godhead. Which characters do you think are considered evil and which are considered good? I see maggie and eden as good, and judas, azazel, lillith and maybe eve as evil. BB, Lost, and isaac could go either way. Samson, lazarus, cain I am not sure about.

I always take devil deals unless I want to fight mega satan, I like the idea of trading health for something that can help you a lot.
Sometimes this ends with me dieing, mostly due to being a glass cannon type character.

I have had some very good glass cannons runs, just devil deals that were too good to take. The last time I remember it was pact, black powder, abbadon. As for mega satan, on characters I haven't beaten him as, I never take devil deals. Once I do though, I am free to play that character however I want.

It's sad that you have so many great items that come from Angel Deals but most of the time it's either eternal or soul hearts. I personally just unlocked the Lost yesterday and I might try to wait for Angel Deals with him to get the Soul, so that I can beat Hush in a way more easier way.

I only take the first devil deal if it's something good. Otherwise, i take my chances with the angel rooms.
There are some people who will take the first devil deal no matter what it is, just to ensure future devil deals, but if it's not something I want, I will leave it.

I usually take devil deals (I think most people are taking devil deals) But f there are only bad items you shouldnt take them. I dont get angel rooms really often but if i see one i take it. and i personally think that there are no "good`` or "bad`` characters.

I almost always take devil deal items since there are a lot of really helpful items in devil deals and you also get the chance to take multiple items at once instead of just the one item in the angel rooms. The guppy transformation is another reason for me to go after devil deals since it is in my opinion still the most powerful transformation in the game.

I check the devil room always.
If there's something I like, I take.
So there's no preference here, it's just a Deal-with-what-you-have type of playstyle.
And if someone says I'm not too good at the game... I am decent indeed.

Now that you mention it, Stopwatch procs on loss of Holy Mantle. I might try that too, thank you!

Stopwatch isn't extremely helpful, it's almost mandantory.
I don't know a single person like me who has been able to dodge all those bullets in this blue bullet hell (BBH?) without the stopwatch.

unless it is a damage upgrade, brimstone, guppy items if the lost. incubus if I have a good build already (double the fun am i right?) or succubus if I have high damage I normally avoid devil deals like the plague. Bonus points if I really want to experiment with godhead, then devil rooms are out of the question. If it is a mega satan run then I skip the devil rooms altogether unless i have the get out of jail card or dads keys. or got the 2 key halves early on.

For hush, multiple angel items come to mind. Circle of protection, trinity shield, and the soul, to name a few. Devil items don't really protect you.
