Otherwise, I can't think of any other reason it would do that- but weird bugs still do happen.
Activated a second player, you mean like co-op? I always play co-op since Rebirth came out. We left many games and resumed later with no problem. Have they changed it in Afterbirth? I havent played Afterbirth that much, But I'm pretty sure Ive resumed co-op games in Afterbirth too.
I'm gonna' try a couple things, maybe quit a run after a co-op player has joined on each floor, and see if theres a pattern there... Or after a respawn item changes the character? Now that I think about it, I think some of the runs that didn't save to be resumed had Golden Baby available.. and when it's up for grabs, my partner uses it. Maybe using a special baby might void the run..?
This is really weird though, sometimes we can resume the run, other times not. I don't see any obvious reasons it didn't save, and It never happened in Rebirth.
