I do have a hard time picking a least favorite item though, but oddly enough, none of the items I dislike are truly bad items. Right now it's a toss-up between
Purity- Really good item, when RNG decides to cooperate. But honestly, I get really bent out of shape when I have a decent chunk of extra health, so I burn through like 5 hearts of damage and get the Range Up bonus every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. When it cooperates, it's really good, but when it doesn't it's super frustrating, and I really just hate dealing with it.
Lil' Brimstone- ♥♥♥♥ you game, give me a Special item that's actually fun, like Ludovico or Brimstone, or even Soy Milk. It's not even bad, but it is, by far, my least favorite item in the Special item pool and finding it is a waste. Not a special item apparently, so it's alright now.
Experimental Treatment- +1 Heart container, bonus Range, minus tears, minus damage. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Oh and I never really liked Marked, I thought it was just poo
I actually have the perfect/classic guppy/eve run right now on the "Darkness Falls" challenge with 9 lives while holding the paw.
Oh and let's not forget the tail. I gladly accept curses left and right, because it's giving me cricket head and infamy.
I don't really "hate" any item in this game.
Some are just not very useful or, if not careful, can straight up ruin your run, like picking up My Reflection with IPECAC.
Yeah i wouldn't pick this up and yes i have no idea how this game works pls teach me sensei
I almost always pick up Dead Cat. Not only does it give more room for soul hearts and black hearts as well as a safety net if you screw up, it gets you one step closer to becoming Guppy which triples your damage output and gives you flying.
