pride day challenge
I'm just thinking, considering

the challenge is called "pride day"
and isaac starts with the rainbow baby and the rainbow worm.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess this is a Gay Pride reference.

considering that, I noticed he also starts with the 3 dollar bill, wouldn't it have made more sense to give him the fruit cake instead?
the fruit cake has a similar effect to the 3 dollar bill, plus it changes isaac's appearance so he has rainbows on his face, and the whole fact it's called the "fruit cake".

I mean no disrespect to the GLBT community but this item is clearly a reference. so
instead of isaac starting with
3 dollar bill
rainbow baby
rainbow worm

he ought to instead start with
fruit cake
rainbow baby
rainbow worm

someone's never heard the saying: as gay as a three dollar bill.

maybe I haven't,

maybe if I was like...90, i might have heard it...I stand corrected though, i acknowledge that the phrase does exist.

but they also call gays "fruit cakes", yeah I guess it's derogatory, but in the town I live in there is a small section with gay bars in it called the "fruit loop", and it was that gays that named it that.

I don't think "gay as a 3 dollarbill" is really a compliment either.

p.s.
urban dictionary is user generated content, I've seen some weird ass phrases and words on that site...like, is "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" even a word?

the fruit loop around here is what they call washington park in oregon, thought it would be a nice place to smoke weed late at night....

pretty sure that is a word yeah, not entirely sure though check with an up to date dictionary, it may just be widely accepted slang.

honestly, i'm not at all sure what the BoI reference with fruit cakes is truth be told, the only references to those i know about are how they're harder than concrete and things like that because no one eats it for years at a time.

it's about the most reliable way to type up a slang term or acronym and find out what it means, that's why i use it is all.

I'm gonna admit, after picking up the fruit cake item twice, I decided I don't like it.
I never pick it up on my runs, so it has become tht joke where its that thing that shows up every year but nobody wants it.
I remember a pee wee's playhouse episode, it was the crhistmas special and everyone who visisted him gave him fruit cake and he used it as bricks to build a whole new wing to the plyhouse.

the only reason I thought the fruit cake was a gay reference in this is because when you pick it up, it changes the color of the tear streaks on his face to rainbow.

You're gonna guess it's a gay pride reference. K then.

That is what it pertains to, but whatever.

my turn of phrase "I'm going to go out on a limb and take a guess" was me being somewhat sarcastic. I was attempting to be humorous in my observation that it is "obvious".
I'm not really "guessing". I know it's obvious.
although, I don't know what you are really trying to say there.

I'm pretty sure all that needed to be said about this topic has already been said.

I mean, I already admitted that I had never heard the phrase "queer as a 3 dollar bill" and never realized that the 3 dollar bill was a gay reference.
fyi, after doing my own research, the saying dates back as far as the 1920's, this is back in the days when people still used The Wooden Nickel. (who is designing these items? Edmund or his grampa?)

when the saying was first used, queer didn't even mean a gay person it just meant something odd that you don't normally see. hence queer as a 3 dollar bill, because a $3 bill is something you should never see as the United Stated never printed a $3 bill, they has $2 bills but they stopped making them because they were redundant, The $1 and $5 were good enough for any transaction. Alice in Wonderland uses that word queer a lot. Alice frequently says this thing or that thing is queer, because pretty much everything in Wonderland is something you never see and should not even exist...someone reading it today might think that Alice is saying everything in Wonderland is homoerotic but that is not so...although that could be an idea for a certain subgenre of movies...and according to rule 34, it's probably been done already

they still make $2 bills, my roomate likes to pay people back with a bunch of crisp bills he gets frequently. it's funny seeing peoples reactions
edit: or at least he knows where to get a lot, maybe they did stop printing them but you can still find them

I actually have one too, a friend gave one to me.

I thought they were super rare, but according to wikipedia, they do still make them...

Back to the topic, I first thought the fruit cake would be another starting item for this challenge. I mean, the whole point of this challenge is to be completely random, so why don't we start with this one as well ?

People who work the register hate him, as there's no place in the drawer for those things.
