(And besides I think that's too giving too much special bonus to the lost.)
Thats what irks me. He is losing that protection when the D4 is used. He is definetly more enjoyable now with these buffs.Thing is just the D4 doesnt hinder him but also doesnt help him. Its a waste
I mean he didn't have a lot of choice. However this is what he gave us to think about:
-The Lost starts with the D6 + speed up
-The Lost starts with the D6 + spectral tears
-The Lost starts with the D20 + speed up
-The Lost starts with the D20 + spectral tears
-The Lost starts with the D4 + speed up
-The Lost starts with the D4 + spectral tears
Annnd he chose the D4 + Spectral Tears for these reasons:
-Isaac already holds the D6, i hate redundancy in characters.
-the D4 is essentially the D6 but with a much stronger and random special effect the D4 makes for more interesting runs that push risk reward when it comes to when to take the gamble as well as the pull to"clear a few more rooms" to see what you might become.
-thematically the D4 works for the lost, because like isaac and ??? he is a foundational “isaac” who hasnt found himself.
