Report a translation problem
My guess is that, going on an edmund-esque philosophy, the trinket is a critique on superstition, and the trinket in fact does absolutely nothing, just like a regular "lucky" horseshoe does nothing.
But I reserve the right to be totally and completely wrong about that :D
I had never thought of this, but it makes sense. I cant say ive noticed any differences while holding it, so your theory that its some sort of isaac placebo could well be right

Haven't heard anyone say that before, but it makes sense now. I'd be absolutely thrilled if this were true.
This is my favorite Binding of Isaac theory I've seen yet, and it's pretty likely true too. I doubt we will EVER know for sure, but that's the whole point isn't it? Kudos to you for thinking of this!
