Binding of Issac mobile?
Not sure if this would work, but when you think about it, this game has an extreme amount of replayablility. The simple controls are a godsend, and it seems like it might work on a tablet. I don't know, this just popped into my head, and I think it might be a bad idea.

Ps vita makes sense, but 3Ds? This game is rather dark...

There was a good amount of Fidangling to get it on the 3DS basically the guy who managed what was ok to be put on the 3DS was going to leave, but before he did he changed a few things, made a few edits and allowed The Binding of Isaac on the 3DS

(From what I've kinda heard over the years it seems like Nintendo wasnt adverse to the idea, but the game was pretty close to breaking the rules they had, in which case it'd open the doors to other dark games which they probably didnt want.)

On the vita its godly. Thats what i originally got and played over 500 runs on. On phones it wouldnt work. The gameplay is taxing, doesnt seem like it, but theres alloooot of math in the physics of tears.

I would dread playing tboi on a touchscreen. So much stuff under your fingers, and no physical controls.

That's the problem I have with most phone games, really.

Most current gen phones are more powerful than the Vita, which this has a port for. I do agree the controls might get awkward though.

The fact that this game uses pretty much every button on controllers means it would be absolutely unplayable on any phone. lol

Not really - they usually have more CPU power, for the sake of multitasking and comfortable internet browsing, but GPU is pretty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to Vita, so running most of modern handheld games on smartphones (especially Android ones) would be quite problematic in practice, to say the least.

As for mobile port - it would be cool, but sadly, touchscreen controls would make a game like this unplayable. There are a couple of BoI clones on Google Play, but they play like ♥♥♥♥, mainly because of controls. And there is also the target audience factor - it would be hard to sell a game like BoI on a platform that is dominated by freemium so-called "strategy" games and one-button time wasters.

You need 13 Buttons, 8 of which MUST have haptic feedback (actual buttons, not fake touchscreen ones) and be able to register at least 4 inputs simultaneously to play Isaac properly. No phone can provide that.

If the controls were ♥♥♥♥, Isaac would not be fun.

Should have realised this...
