I'm a noob and I can't beat Greed mode with the lost...

I'm probably a vast minority here but I honestly think greed mode is harder than hard mode with The Lost... I think I died at least 50 times trying to beat greed mode... I just can't do it for some reason even though I've beaten every other bosses with The Lost... Any good advice?

Just keep retrying and look for his telegraphed attacks, destroy all his coins before they do anything and you'll pull it off just fine.
Oh ♥♥♥♥ you meant the mode itself, try and destroy as many enemies as possible, do not hit the button unless you cant take the heat and get some form of usable thats really powerful and you will probably make it.

Well, I do make it to Ultra greed 50% of the time. twice I got killed by a giant coin landing on me. I can't even dodge that... Also, so often I get killed by some enemy that's off screen because the room is so big... Freaking red ghosts that shoots brimstone... Those are the worst...

Try unlocking The Lost now holds Holy Mantle first. It will make things a lot easier for you.

Sad thing is... I did get HM... Still can't beat ultra greed though... Yeah I admit it, I suck. I only unlocked all the other Lost items because of pretty flies and other defensive items... I can't seem to get those in Greed Mode other than cube of meat.

Try hoarding defensive items. Cube of Meat, Guillotine, Big Fan, etc. If you can't dodge 'em, block 'em.

Will do. They are very rare (at least for me. I never was a lucky person) but I'm sure I'll get those eventually.

Your head blocks projectiles that would normally be blocked by defensive items. So yeah, it's defensive.

Might be a bit late,and you probably beat Ultra Greed already. But to avoid the coins falling onto you,you can......

1.Hide around the corners and pray that no coins hit you,as coins rarely fall around there (Works quite good for me when beating ultra greed as the lost,and everyone else too)

Or...

2.If you have fast reflexes and good eye. Try to look out for the shadows on the ground,that's where the coin will fall.

Also,if you successfully avoid them,try and destroy them as soon as possible,as they may run into you or trap you in an uncomfortable spot. When that happens,chances are Ultra Greed will screw you over by either charging at you or firing coins at you while you're being trapped.

This is probably not a very good advice/tip,but I try. If you haven't beat Ultra Greed yet,then Good Luck!

I don't know if they fixed this after holy mantle update but you can deal with the coming waves one at a time simply just using the button again after calling the waves. Lost does not lose any healt and he is not dies from the damage delt by the spikes button has after waves start. But you get less coins if you do this, but it's simply doesn't matter. Don't be greedy.

And if you can find god head and glass cannon, you don't even need to worry about anything.

I really do not recommend pressing the wave button after starting. The less coins do make a huge difference and can really hurt you in the long run.

I say be greedy, but be smart. Flight + Spectral is there for a reason. Utilize rocks and pits.

Also, always check for Super Secret rooms if you have bombs. The extra money is fantastic.

If you can get good damage at the start, ofc don't stop the waves. But don't forget that with the lost, you trying to unlock items/achievements, you are not trying to fill the donation machine. So you can spent every coin you have to buy items.
