What alt + F4 exploit?

I was under the impression that Alt + F4 closes the current window.

Before that patch when you alt + f4 during the death animation you can continue the run at the start of the floor...

Before the patch you could "cheat" without 3rd party software.
I think what you were supposed to do is alt+f4 as soon as an enemy hits you and that would make you spawn in the same room again or at the last save. That way you could have multiple attempts with The Lost if you had a good run going and didn't want it to end.

What are y'all talking about, still works on rebirth. I donated coins to a machine until it got stuck, killed the boss, then killed myself in sacrifice room, and alt F4 returned me to the the room before the shop. I'm gonna use this against the final bosses, no more dying to blue baby at 5% hp.

Alt + F4 during floor transition = and you would cancel all actions, items picked, all damage taken and set back to the last Autosave

It works in Rebirth but not AB+, don't know about AB.
