How to beat family man?

Sry... im really asking too much about challanges but this one is the most exhausting to me so far.
The first floors are not really a problem but the further i go the more tedious it gets.
It seems that not a single item in the game raises my minions damage output.
It takes way too long to get through the last floors.

I allways manage to get to isaac which is usually not a problem but beating him with minions only is the biggest nonsense i´ve ever engaged not to mention the sight block my minions are causing. Most of the time i only recognize a hazard when it hits me.

What can i do? In the meanwhile i really start thinking of just ignoring it :(

you have multiple option, depending on your dlc you could try finding incubus. Tammys head and brimstone are also an option. If you get gnawed leave and a familiar that shots by itself you can basicly beat any challenge xDD

im just wondering how many times i have to try to get the items needed.
doesn´t feel very skill based in that case.

Most of Lilith's unlocks interact with familiars in some manner and therefore make this challenge significantly easier. It's still one of the ones that lives up to the "challenge" moniker, mind...

It's basically survival and luck. Have to hope for a powerful active in shops like Blue or Red Candle. Relying on Devil Deals which give strong familiars, Libraries for powerful actives or DMG up items that boost your blue flies' damage. Unloading lots of bombs on bosses might be worth it in the way they shave off lots of health.

With DLC, Angel Rooms are really strong especially in Repentance where even some of the items that require no unlocks like Monstrance or Spear of Destiny can be powerful items for blindfolded challenges. Then some simple Bethany unlocks like Urn of Souls or Revelation can trivialize any blindfold challenge.

ok... im about to give up on that challange...
it´s so frustrating to beat isaac with zero to non damage + the minions blocking my view regarding isaacs tears.

you can try again later family man was considered one of the hardest challenges in the original rebirth. Never give up forever you will win this challenge at some point

somehow everyone said suicide king is one of the hardest as well as guppy (hairball only) and the orbital flies challange.
really didn´t have a problem with them and since im not owning any dlc, just the basic rebirth im a bit scared but probably im different xD

A lot of the blindfolded challenges, as well as nonsense like Onan's streak, the easiest way is to find items that give an alternate method of damage besides the one provided at the start. Not just familiars, but stuff like black powder and things that generate spiders and flies (which along with certain other things makes your damage stat no longer irrelevant.) Consider the things it gives you in any of the other blindfolded challenges for instance. Or as said you can always get the gnawed leaf guaranteed (though sometimes slow based on what you pair it with) win. Or if you keep getting to isaac maybe take a chaos card with you (or plan c)?

And remember it's always an option to repeatedly restart checking treasure rooms by the start (or maybe curse rooms too) until you get something great at the start.

By the way, global buff familiar shoot speed and to maggy and bobby themselfs makes repentance run of this faster and more fun
