What do you mean? Do you mean Repentance+? Because Rep+ copies your save files and makes a completely new one. So you do not have to worry that your save of "normal" repentance gets corrupted or so. You can always switch back and forth between Rep and Rep+.

Just reinstall Repentance+. You will start where you left off. All completion marks of online coop mode (purple) should still be there if you reinstall Rep+.

As I already explained that could not be the case.

Like Kippetje94 is saying, the files aren't deleted. New ones are created using your non-dlc repentance files. So you should be able to get them back, moderately easily with a few steps.

Try going to Documents\My Games on your computer, in my games there should be 2 binding of isaac folders; one is repentance and the other is repentance+

Inside the folders there should be save backup folders containing all sorts of historical save files.

You can also try accessing your steam cloud save data and downloading the files from there to see what it has.

https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

You have to take the backups to the steam userdata folder for isaac, if you didn't know. This is located here:

\Steam\userdata\(your steamid)\250900\remote

Also you might want to turn off steam cloud backup before loading the game after swapping saves so it doesn't default to loading your current save. Then turn it back on if it works and you're satisfied.

Additionally, there should be savegames from the last time you ran repentance, not the dlc, denoted by rep_ vs rep+(dlc) that you could look at as well.

I would try copying the rep_ files, moving them into a folder, then renaming them with the rep+ prefix, and moving them back into the steam userdata folder.

This should overwrite the current rep+ saves and give you back the most recent save from before the dlc was installed. Otherwise, the repentance+ folder in Documents/My Games will have backups of repentance save states you could try using if you made progress in the DLC you're trying to bring back.
