controller controls not working right

hello, i updated my game, verified it, uninstalled and deleted the files and im still having controller problems, for some reason my buttons are not working as they should. in the menu i press b to go back and it goes down instead all of the buttons seem like they swapped and are conflicting with my pc controls and when i play a game with controller it thinks im second player for some reason please help!!

What type of controller are you usung. Are you using bluetooth?

The same is happening to me, happened since the release of the beta. I'm using a Bluetooth controller

Edit : it causes issue only when using bluetooth mode, when wired everything seem good

Try using the Steam Controller input. This should fix the problem.

Best I can suggest is to make your own steam input binds where you manually bind each button to their corresponding keyboard keys as a workaround. You may need to go into the inputconfig.dat, back it up somewhere in case you make a mistake, and possibly remove the offending controller binds if it's spinning out of control afterward. I made L3 accept, R3 back for the menu prompts and the right analog makes arrow choices in menu for my game.

If you have Linux, you're gonna have to find that file in the prefix and edit it that way if the custom keyboard binds don't just work at out of the box. I tried to upload my config as DualSense Controls for LinuxMint in the community layouts for controller. Give it a try even if it's not a Linux exclusive issue. Worst it can do is not work.
