desync all the time

i tried to play with my girlfriend, brand new save, reinstalled the game but when we get together in the game, everytime after about 15 seconds we have a desync, without even going in a room or anything. Did anyone find a way to play with friends ? She is on a laptop with wifi and I use cable on a PC.

man your connection between you and her must be horrible then.
i played for 3 hours with a friend (he lives in australia and was using a vpn in germany to get a better result) and we had only at the very end of those 3 hours a desync.

tho our game ran like it had only 20~24 frames XD.
buuut we was able to play XXXD.

probably not a good idea to play isaac online with someone on the other side of the world @w@.

:D i am that freind and yes we played for 3ish hours AUS to GER i use vpn for better routing so ihave 280-300ms of latancy. but overall the game ran pretty well. for a beta. a lot better than many other games out there

we're litterally in the same house haha with the same connection.... and we're around 300mb/s.... and with another friend we had no issue, only with her but it looks like it is a problem with her pc

thats weird then. it shouldnt happen with that. maybe you both need to sync your fps up?
like set the fps either to 120 or 60? o..o. i mean, you cant do that in the game, you need to do that in the nvidia system settings (dont ask me how it works if you have an AMD gpu xD).

but, it could help to avoid a desync. maybe one of you both is fps wise a bit tooooooo fast ^^.

yes it's possible, her game seems a lot slower than mine ! but I don't understand why because she has a pretty recent gaming laptot and can player way more ressource demanding games...

I heard that this issue can be fixed if both players play from a new save-file (not sure tho)

the multiplayer is really bad at moment. i try 10 lobbys one is good and the rest one with high ping or other region is complete unplayable because laggy. makes 0 fun right know. they have to add a system to search for regions.

if u play with a friend its works great if the other person is in same region like u. but try to play with random peoples is not possible :(

I know some games can be a little weird when it comes to playing with people on the same network. Like how the Call of Duty games would sometimes equip the calling cards and emblems of friends or family who were on the game at the same time and network as me and vice versa. Maybe the connection issues are coming from playing on the same network, if possible try running one system on something like a hotspot (not a great gague for quality unless I guess using a really good provider) and seeing if it stabilizes even a little bit.

I just had a few games with Chiro, and it is FPS-based. For example, I had the game running at 60 FPS, and then he went into the NVIDIA Control Panel and limited it to 30 FPS. We both experienced extreme slowdown, playing at pretty much 50% speed. would most likely cause desync to happen

After trying a lot of things I'm pretty sure it's because her game is going slower than ours, it doesn't manage well with the fps cap and the refresh rate (i guess ?) and the vsync doesn't work. It looks like we're desync all the time because since her game is slower it doesn't manage to update well the positions on our well working games. I guess we'll just have to wait for a more stable multiplayer version of the game to try again
