How to join back to the host midgame

Sometimes the game desynces\crashes and one of the players got kicked because of it and it ruins a lot of fun runs. When I tried reconnecting midgame with my friends it just keep them in the lobby but I can see that they're trying to join game.

Is there any button for trhem to choose character\join?

actually I found out that to join back you need to wait untill they complete the floor and then you'll be able to join the host.
BUT for some reason you won't be able to get achievements/unlocks for the run completion and other players beside host will be restricted with this curse too.
IDK why they made it this way, shouldn't be like that IMO.

In a game where you can do it freely with much easier ways around it's unnecessary
