Repentance+ I'm confused... could play, now cannot?

I was just playing like an hour ago the new online mode with wifey

Now I just launch the game and a screen pops up saying:
You must own The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ and it must be installed in order to play The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+

But I was JUST playing it. I played it last night with a friend, and just an hour ago with wifey. I got achievements on our run. What happened?

I too was able to play yesterday. Now suddenly it wants Afterbirth. Hmm.

you are supposed to own all the dlc to play online multiplayer. if you were able to play before getting the dlc, it was a bug. the store page says you need repentance dlc to play repentance+.

Here the same , now i need Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ but Afterbirth +
isnt buyable for me in Store. i thought ok maybe i need to buy Afterbirth first ,did it but nothing changed.

same problem on 2 my friends, everything was working yesterday, but today it's not working and asking afterbirth, without plus
How to fix?

You can't buy AB+ nor Rep from their own store page, only through the complete bundle.

Confirmation of what, that Repentance+ would require Repentance? That was known since day 1.

Confirmation of what, that Repentance+ would require Repentance? That was known since day 1.

Yknow I see "Free DLC" and I just click download. And it worked.

So yeah, confirmation that it WAS a bug that we could play. Not speculation from some "user", but hard data from someone "in the know".

Anyone following the posts on not-Twitter-anymore from back when the first beta session was around can confirm you Repentance+ was always announced as only for Repentance owners.
Granted, not everyone checks that source. But still, that's how it is. And yes, apparently the devs messed up big time at Repentance+ release, but at that point considering their history I'm not even surprised.
