INSTANT DESYNC FIX

Hey y'all, I kept having this issue with my friends (who are all new players) where whenever we'd all ready up and start the run, we'd instantly get a desync and end up in our own games. I saw a few people in discussions here mention they were having this issue specifically with "friends on relatively new saves" and figured it might have to do with the way the game downscales to the player with the least unlocks.

Turns out the fix is simple: If that scenario applies to you, you're gonna have to play on a fresh save as well. I tried this and it seems to work perfectly.

Nvm we just desync on the first room we enter that has enemies in it instead now lmao

you got some progress, so part of the desync was probally right need to figure out the other part.

Delete all folders under the "My Documents/My Games/" path that contain "The Binding of Isaac" in their names. (Remember to back up your files to prevent save data loss.)
Then reinstall the game.

After doing this, my friend and I have never encountered the desynced issue again.It might have been caused by file conflicts.

thanks bro it actually worked, for me just deleting the repentance+ folder and restarting worked.

you should be wary that playing online without beating mom offline can cause save corruptions for other players. do not do this if you are going to play with players playing on non-fresh save files
