Progress between Repentance and Repentance+ Question

With the greed donation machine being broken, if I uninstall R+ and go back to base Repentance, will my progress from base carry over to R+ if i get any new unlocks? Or are they different saves and i'm essentially locked out of Greed progress until they fix the Donation machine?

I noticed my progress made on R+ wasn't carrying over to base Repentance after attempting to swap back.

Unlocks from R+ to R won't carry over, but if you want to transfer from R to R+ then do this

First, make a backup from your save files just in case. They are located on Program Files/Steam/userdata/[Steam User ID]/250900/remote.

Then, go to you library, on Isaac Rebirth, find the option called "Manage DLCs" (maybe is not exactly that, I'm from Ukraine). There, uncheck Repentance+.

On your library, right click on Isaac -> Properties and disable Steam cloud. Then, go to your save files on Files/Steam/userdata/[Steam User ID]/250900/remote and remove the ones from Repentance+.

Enable again Repentance+ and launch the game. That will automatically make a new save file for Repentace+ with your unlocks from Repentace.

Quit the game and enable again Steam Cloud, it will say that it has conflicts between the version on the cloud and your local savefiles. Choose to upload your local savefiles and you are good to go.

No. Each expansion has its own save file. Your Rep+ save was created as a copy of your existing Rep save the first time you launched it, but beyond that, no data is shared between versions.
This applies to all versions of the game, not just Rep+. And it isn't a bug.

If you keep playing on Rep for now, you'll probably want to re-import your Rep save into Rep+ later. This typically involves disabling Steam cloud (at least temporarily) and deleting your local Rep+ save, so the game will think this is the first time you launch it and use a copy of your Rep saves as a source. Note that this will delete all the progress you made on Rep+ (if any), save files can't be merged.

Dang, thanks for your help guys! I did a bunch of unlock grinding with my friend who is like a Dead God champ and he was telling me I need to do the Greed mode for Mantle on Lost and keeper items etc. I guess I will have to wait for Greed to be patched and working properly as i'm not sure if wiping my progress made on here will be entirely worth resetting, but thanks again for your help :)
