i lost all of my marks and some of my charicters

[Why i oughta]

when i went online and played today my game crashed and i lost both of my keepers and all of my marks on all of my characters. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yep, same happened to me. Looks like our saves are corrupted, and unfortunately, I don't have a backup saved. All completion marks are gone for me, and most tainted characters also gone. No more Eden tokens either. Pretty upsetting considering how much progress I had, but oh well. Lesson learned, gotta keep a backup I guess.

I just posted about this 2x in another topic. After I downloaded the new DLC and ran the game, I had all the characters I had unlocked in my main save, but none of my stats or completion marks. Was very weird. I had to restore my save games and was able to get my marks and stats back.

As for backups, the game keeps a lot of backups you might not know about. So all might not be lost for you @PureRage

Check these folders for backups
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance\save_backups
and
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance\

Also, the new Online DLC, Repentance+ makes a new folder separate from the main one rebirth/ab/ab+/repentance uses called:
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance+
This new folder also has a \save_backups folder in it you can check.

Thanks! I appreciate you going into all this detail to help everyone with this issue! I checked on my end and it seems I have found some saves back when the beta released, but nothing directly before that. I play this game on different computers sometimes, so I'll have to see if I have a save file on a different device or something. I'm gonna wait a week to see if Edmund releases any fixes for this, but I will definitely be trying this method if they don't come up with anything else. Thanks again for your advice!

So it looks like Edmund and his team hasn't fixed this issue yet, so I decided to try this method and suffice to say I think it worked! I got all my completion marks back and my Eden tokens. I'm running the repentence+ DLC right now so I'm gonna have to do some further testing to see if anything is broken, but it looks good so far! Huge thanks for your help!!
