Angel in devil room??

Just found an angel statue in a devil room. I bombed and killed it and it didn't give me a key. Was there an update or something?

Are you sure it wasn't an angel room. Dumb question but just making sure. Might be a bug with the new update

it's just a really weird room that i found while looking through the special rooms

I just looked this up, it isn't a glitch. It was put in by the developers. No idea why.

No, it's not a bug or anything, and if you didn't get a key that means you probably not supposed to get any key - same goes for finding an Angel statue in a Super Secret Room. It's a bibical thing about Satan that he was an angel and now a devil. You can look it up.
