Speed, Onan's Streak, and the Guardian are poop.
Uggh, these three are ridiculous. Especially Speed. Are there any particular tips to completing them? Or is it just luck/skill? Are the unlocks you get for them good at least?

I'm the kind of player who likes to spam shoot when traveling between rooms or backtracking, so that's a habit I need to kick for Onan. :C

I would not put guardian to the same category. The brains is 100x times worser than Guardian. I think Guardian is the most interesting and creative chalenge and I had lot of fun with it. I definitelly gonna play guardian again!
Ech, I don't like Brains at all. If we hat least had Pyromaniac or something it wouldn't be so bad.

My speed challenge attempt i did it on the first try and it was complete luck the items i got. i cant remember what items i got but i do remember finding the boss room instantly on the final floor allowing me to beat the run with lots of health. The guardian is really hard and i hate it, however its been completed. i enjoyed the onans streak challenge but it can get very stressful, however if you have big shots, its pretty much impossible to miss

Most of the challenges come down to luck anyway. Guardian is actually a fun one though.

Onan's Streak as well but I'd say you're less likely to win it as fast. I had Death's Touch on mine which helped a lot, if it hits the floor/wall after hitting an enemy it didn't damage me. Polyphemus probably works the same way.

Haven't really tried Speed out yet though because I know that's the most luck-based one of them all.

I play Guardian for fun - I never imagined people were having trouble with it.

not everyone likes the same thing you know
Speed is bad, just spam R until you can get something good, skips are a must.

The guardian is easy imho, just have 6 Health by it lives and you can just cheese it lives.

Onan streak is more of a time consuming process, especially with scolax, but doable.

Speed sucks and requires lots of restarts to even get a decent start. The Guardian has some really unfair situations, but other than that it is the most interesting and unique challenge and can be fun. Onan's Streak is not really unfair, you just need to know what items you can and cannot pick up as some of those are just instant death due to how this challenge works. Other than that it's just a matter of skill really.

Onan's Streak is easy with Isaac's Heart.

I found Brains! to be the very hardest of all the challenges.

My "strategy" (in other words failing over and over until it happened) was to get either Blank Card with The Hierophant or Placebo with Balls of Steel. This combo worked very well to keep me alive in the harder challenges.

Speed on the other hand... Well, good luck. Just beat your head at it until you get a good combination of items. Run for the item room, run for the boss, grab any good devil deals along the way and hope you get Ludo+Brimstone or something crazy like that.

Edit: On Onan's Streak, just be very very careful not to grab items that change your tear to like piercing or splash damage or such, like Cricket's Body. Even if the main tear hits the enemy the splash tear will count and hit you if it doesn't hit anything. Same goes for 20/20, Triple Shot or Quad Shot. Don't grab it, you'll be sorry if you're in a decent run and think "Oh boy!" which is exactly what you usually do when you see those items.

How to make "SPEED!" easier: Turn of the music.

Yeah, I do like the idea behind the Guardian. I actually managed to get to the Womb II on it. I might have been able to beat it but ♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself over.

I though I could use Passage Rune to skip Mom's Heart and maybe get an instant win. Instead I ended up in Sheol. Died in the first room.

My fault I suppose for not checking to see if that worked. XP

well turning the music still makes speed hard even without the music:gaper:
