Boss Rush.
Does it matter whether you complete Boss Rush on Normal or Hard?

I had it beaten on Azazel on Normal and got an unlock from that, and then beat it on Hard and did not get an unlock from that.

Just wondering if it's worth doing Hard for anything other than a completed sticky note.

I don't think so. I think (keyword think) to get God Head you have to complete Lost runs on Hard. But other than that, I don't think there's any extra reward for doing Hard mode except 100% completion/ bragging rights.

If you complete all of the Completiton Marks on Hard, you'll unlock... additional stuff. Nothing too amazing, but still needed for 1001%.

The only reason to get hard completion marks is to get the co-op babies and their achievements.

In the original rebirth, there was no point beating everything on hard. In afterbirth, however, it is required in order to unlock co op babies which you need to 1001%. So, if you plan on ever finishing the game, you might as well start with hard mode, or you have to do it again later on. If you get all completion marks on hard, that's when you get the co op baby.

I have the Vanilla game, without Afterbirth.

There's no reason to complete Boss Rush on Hard for that, then?

Except if you are playing Lost then yes there is no reason to do so

I don't think I want to put myself through the hell that will certainly be The Lost on Hard Boss Rush. .___.

Admittedly it's not a fun idea but Godhead is pretty sweet. It's kinda a double edged sword but if you get the Afterbirth DLC you can make Lost easier by having him start with Holy Mantle. The caveat to that is you will also have to clear Mega Satan, The Hush, and Greed Mode on hard as well. Very difficult either way but totally doable

Well, Lost is actually fun in Afterbirth, so I recommend you doing his unlocks with Afterbirth.

This too, I actually found the Lost to be way more fun than ??? or The Keeper.

I would lean that far out of the window to say that Lost is a pretty fun character in Afterbirth. ??? is okay IMO. He's challenging, but not unfair (like Keeper, that stupid pile of greedy garbage)

I'll beat the Vanilla game first.

That's how I play games.

Lost does start with flying/spectral tears(?) in Vanilla Rebirth, so that should help a LOT early on.

Did they change the unlock for Godhead in Afterbirth? I know they changed Lost's unlock requirements.

In the original you had to complete Lost on Hard Mode to get it. That still the case?

Yes. You now have to complete all of his Completition Marks to unlock Godhead (Hush, Ultra Greed and Mega Satan, alongside with the others). In normal Rebirth, you only have to do the normal five to unlock Godhead.
