Azazel is easy, even in the womb and far far away. I can handle his low range, so it's not a problem for me, but I can understand it's hard for others.

I'm very much afraid you just need to git gud.

Azazel has high damage, can fly, his shot is by default spectral and piercing, and he can get red hearts on top of his 3 black hearts. His only downside is his range, which is completely erased by experience.
Judas does good damage, but can't fly, has only one heart to start with, and has basic shots.

Sorry, but Azazel is indeed the easy mode (easiest, anyway). Yes, it forces you to be careful about how close you can get to enemies, but this skill is useful for any character afterwards. It's a great learning character in my opinion.

I'm with Nazemec on this one.
Once you get used to his range and attack you can dominate that game. I think I've beaten it with him the most.

ok thank you i now understand i need to git gud with him then i git gud with everyone and i will defeat mega satan with lost 1 try guarante

Azazel is exceptional.

Flying by default alone is amazing, and combining that with the mini-Brimstone that he's got means you get absolute manueverability and the ability to cheese non-flying enemies from the get-go, plus really high damage from the mini-Brimstone, PLUS he can actually acquire heart containers unlike ???, so both HP up and Soul Heart generators work really well with him.

Easily the best character in the game.

Only one that I would think comes close is The Lost with all the starting items unlocked, and even then, Azzy is a lot less squishy and has more HP potential.

Never said that. Azazel is good for learning, not dominating the game with any character. Maybe you should try to read my post.

Fun Fact: Get Rubber cement and Azazel's brimstone becomes full length when it bounces off walls.

Some people here might actually really react as you trolled it. Good to know you're not one of those. x)

Azazel is considered to be the easiest character, although I personally don't like him much. The power he has is early game, with his mini brimstone scaling with little items (unlike actual brimstone). The lost, even though you can't be more squishy than him, I like much more because he can become insanely strong easily. If you're at the point where you get past the womb, I get that azazel feels less interesting, as I felt the same. However, if you actually 'can't do anything after the womb' you need to practise a bit more, because he never is useless.

You have to imagine him as a shotgun and circling around enemies for the best effect so you can dodge most incoming damage. As him you should always be circling around things, even bosses although larger ones are a challenge and the horsemen can be a pain depending on which one you get. But if you just work on dodging he is pretty decent and can even fly over the blackboxes that sometimes spawn hiding enemies and loot.

Also damaging floors will never hurt you either which I think is kind of op.
