The scummy way to play!
Here's a hand though. Unlock the Polaroid first by beating Isaac (6 times if I recall) Also, buy spirit hearts from shops and focus on finding tinted rocks or blowing up Blue/Purple fires.
Alternatively you can just play and if you find the ankh, kill yourself before the boss then you'll be respawned as blu baby and will be able to unlock it.
It is not a scummy way. I am trying to give him good strategies for unlocking it. It is not like I am telling him to use some third party program.
It is scummy. It neglects the point of the game. Sure you're not going for a third party based thing but even still, you should just play the game rather than just wasting time trying to get a good starting item. It kind of removes a point of the game. Also, it makes you not appreciate the good runs as every run is good if you only press r for good starts.
Oh boy, it's mr Spirit hearts don't drop in runs.
A good player can win any run regardless of items so I'd care to disagree.
so clearly your streak is over 500? i disagree.
even very good players like northernlion only 10 (i swear i've seen 19 possibly too) streak is as high as i can recall seeing.
And no, his highest streak was not 19 or 10.it was 115

So yes. The game is skill based.
This.
If you checked the challenges, Keeper and The Lost of your list, you really start putting difficulty into perspective and manage to turn even the most underpowered runs into a win with other characters. (most of the time, at least.)
This doesn't mean crappy room layouts and RNG still can't screw you over, but there are a couple of ways to mitigate that until a certain degree.
For example, good luck killing It Lives with damage at 2 and speed at minimum, but that's a rather rare scenario.
lol, just accept your defeat and quieten down. From my personal experience I tend to win around 80 - 90% of my runs. It's not hard to do when you know how to play.
