Taking red health damage from a boss specifically inflicts a 99% penalty to deals chances by default (I think)

idk but honestly this mechanic is stupid
Just get soul/black hearts, When you lose one it doesn't decrease your chances of devil/angel deals

This. And learn how to dodge, too. Not getting hit is always better than getting free hit options in the long term.

Deal rooms must be earned. They're not a "pity reward" to make runs easier for players. There's no such system in the game at all, if you didn't notice. :dip:

No need to get so defensive. I was only trying to clarify the mechanic, not to be rude.
What do you think would be the better choice? Learn from more experienced players (which may make you better), or complain about the game (which won't get you any result)?

And I don't think you're the best one to comment about rudeness... Need a reminder? :dip:

thats not being rude? i just said the mechanic was stupid in my opinion, but yeah if we need to start to be rude, the point here was to know why i was loosing random % and i got my answer, i dont need another person to come here and tell the most obvious things in the game like "learn how to dodge and find black hearts", yes experienced players can make my game easier, when they say useful stuff. *insert poop emoji at the end of every message*

i wont even bother reading the next messages here, its starting to be a time waste

Try visiting early curse rooms. Taking damage from the curse room door doesn't lower deal chance, and they usually have a good chance of giving you soul hearts and black hearts.

Since loss of red heart makes the angel/devil room probability leakage, how about playing with blue baby, the lost, or keeper? These characters are guaranteed to have no red health, resulting higher probability to get those rooms!

That doesn't help if you're going for certain checks on a specific character. The best thing to do is get soul hearts so you have some leeway. Secret Rooms, Cursed Rooms, and Shops can all provide that.

It doesn't matter if you have to spend two and a half red hearts to get a soul heart if it means that the soul heart will prevent you from losing an Angle/Devil deal.

Devil/Angel rooms work as follows:

SPAWNING ANGEL/DEVIL DOORS
From Floor 2 onwards, you are able to spawn Devil/Angel doors. The rooms themselves can exist on floor 1, but are only accessible there via teleportation. The base chances for an Angel/Devil door spawning are:

0/3 if you are on the first floor.
1/3 if a door has spawned on the previous floor.
2/3 if a door has spawned two floors ago, but not on the previous floor.
3/3 if a door has not yet spawned, or has not spawned on either of the previous two floors.
(Curse of the Labyrinth counts you as on the first floor of the chapter for the purposes of calculating door-spawning chances UNLESS you are in Chapter 1, in which case you get the 3/3 base chance as if you were on Floor two. In either case, leaving the XL floor counts as descending two floors for the purposes of calculating chances.)

These base chances are multipliers. For example, if your base chance is 2/3 (meaning your current chance is ~66.7%, and something happens that decreases your chances by 10%, it'll actually only decrease by 2/3 of that amount, ~6.7%).

The following events can change your door-spawning chances for the floor from their base multipliers:

-Holding items like Pentagram, Book of Belial, Book of Revelations, the Key Pieces, Sausage, Goat Head, or some others with increase the chance of a door appearing or weight the chances in the direction of one door or the other.
-Using the Donation Machine, blowing up shopkeepers/certain beggars, or using the sacrifice room can increase the chance of a door spawning or weight the chance such that if one spawns, it is more likely to be an angel.

THE IMPORTANT ONES
-Taking red-heart damage before spawning a door decreases your door-spawn chance for the floor to a third of what it was, If it was 66%, it goes to 22%.
-Taking red heart damage during the Floor Boss battle will decrease your door-spawn chance to 1% of what it was.

SPAWNING ANGEL ROOMS:
If you resist taking Devil Deals, Angel rooms can spawn. The first door to spawn in a run will always be a Devil door unless you have an item like Book of Virtues.

Taking a Devil Deal ensures that Angel rooms will no longer spawn in the run, unless you have an item to circumvent this like Eucharist, Act of Contrition, Book of Virtues, or Duality.

Entering the first Devil room but refusing to take a deal will split the base chance for a door to spawn between Devils and Angels equally for the rest of the run. this means that if you have a 66% chance to spawn a door at all, then you have a 33% Devil chance and a 33% Angel chance.

Refusing to enter the first Devil room at all (even by accidental teleport) will guarantee the next door that spawns to be an Angel room. From that point on, the base chance will be split equally between Devils and Angels.

More accurate description is that deal chance buffs stack together,
then total sum is divided by 2 if a deal doors spawned 1 floor ago,
or divided by 4 if 2 floors ago,
then capped at 100 if needed.

For example, chance of getting devil deal on the third floor, after encoutering it on the second floor, is:
+1% base chance
+35% not taking red heart damage in non-sacrifice ways in boss room
+99% not taking red heart damage in non-sacrifice ways in the whole floor
x0.25 floor penalty
is 33.75%.
