My game crashes when i enter secret and sacrifice rooms

I just bought repentence and have been playing it for the first time after playing rebirth for a bit and when i try enter a sacrifice room at any point of a run my game crashes and when i enter a secret room it does the same and i have no clue what is causing this as even without mods this occurs.

turns out i cant go into the womb either but can go into super secret rooms this game is unplayable and dont have a clue whats wrong

To be sure: you do have both Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ enabled too, not just Repentance, right?
Because Repentance requires them both enabled to work properly, this isn't optional.

You say "even without mods", which sounds like you did use mods at some point. Are you sure you removed them completely?

I turned them off in the games mod menu, but I didn’t fully remove them as in like from my files.
