why is Repentance so expensive?

Where/which currency? Are you sure you're looking the right thing and not some bundle with everything included?
It's cheaper as the base game Rebirth here in EU

It does not cost three times the main game. Where does it list that price?

"Rebirth" is essentially the base game, which is 15 dollars. Repentance is also 15 dollars.

Considering repentance has 100+ hours or more of add-on content id say its a perfectly fine price

understandable mistake, it can get confusing with the bundle being the only way to buy the later dlcs

pro tip though; dont buy the original binding of isaac. rebirth is, for all intents and purposes, the true base game.
