This solved my flickering/laggyness/choppy framerate
He guys,

Just wanted to give some advice to people who have the same problems as I did.
I just bought Afterbirth (played rebirth ALOT on ps4 and couldn't wait for the release any longer) and had some serious issues on my Lenovo Y50 laptop. The first time I started the game I immidiately went to fullscreen, and instantly the menu started...well flickering is the best word i can come up with. I started a game and Isac was flickering bad as well. I read in the pinned "known issues" post about the vsync option so I disabled it and the flickering was gone. However, I noticed quite bad lag in some rooms (not all), like choppy framerate. The only specific room i can remember was a treasure room with a restock box in it. Didn't matter if there was enemies or not in the rooms that were choppy. After a few minutes the game crashed and the computer got locked up, had to do a hard reset. Never happened to me with this computer before.

I fiddled around with my nvidia settings, made sure that the game was using my nvidia gpu instead of my integrated intel gpu but to no luck. BUT, a few minutes ago I tried to set my integrated gpu for the game and voilá, IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY! So, if you're out of other options and you have dual gpus, this might be it. I'm running now with vsync and all other options defaulted and I have no lag or choppyness or crashes.

My specs:

Windows 10 64bit Home
Intel i7 4720HQ
12 gb RAM
Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600
Nvidia GTX 960M

Latest Intel and Nvidia drivers, and all available Windows updates installed.

How exactly do you set the integrated gpu for the game?
EDIT: Got it now. Ty

Yes. Game works at smooth 60FPS now. I think it turned off my vsync tho. Soemtimes, every couple seconds, the game will lag for a split second.
