The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Game speeding up sometimes (bug?)
Since I reached the 1001% of the game, I noticed that sometimes my game is doubling his speed.

I mean, enemies move twice as fast, Isaac (or any other PJ) moves twice as fast, enemy and my tears are insanely fast, as twice too.

It's exactly the same effect of Broken Watch, when it misworks and speeds up the room, but I didn't have that item at any point of those runs, so that's my question.

¿Is someone else having this issue? I barely can play as high speed, and the daily runs become insanely unfair.

Make sure, all easter eggs are disabled. There's one, which speeds up the game x2, like the Broken Stopwatch would.
A simple way to check that, is by listening to the music. If it's not playing faster, then that's not the problem.

If that's not the issue, try this:

Delete the "options.ini" at "C:\User\*yourname*\Documents\My Games\The Binding of Isacc Afterbirth\" and launch the game again to create a new one.

Note: Any settings, you've made in-game have to be applied again.

If that doesn't solve it, do you have created a custom "configuration.ini" file at the installation folder of Afterbirth?

Thanks for the response.

All easter eggs were disabled, I didn't even know the existence of that one that speeds up the game x2.

Music was always playing at the same rithm, let's call it "x1".

Just tried to delete the "options.ini" file and relaunch the game, but the issue still persists.

Nope, I don't have any "configuration.ini" file :reonion:

Hey man. Today I had the exact same problem. I though I picked up some item but the only one that affects speed is Stop Watch. I thought I am crazy but I could swear it's faster than usual.

I am also 1001%. Something wierd is going on indeed.

Well, this will sound kinda strange, but I'm relieved I'm not the only one with this issue xd

Let's hope someone can help us.

Perhaps, the game runs past 60FPS. IIRC, this game's game-speed is bound to it's framerate.

Try either an external FPS limiter (MSI Afterburner, FRAPS, etc.), to cap the game's framerate at 60FPS or force V-Sync via your GPU driver's control-panel for this game, if your monitor's refreshrate is 60Hz.

If this is working, it should do as a workaround for now, until someone knows a better solution.

I'm gonna test this and I'll give you a response as soon as I notice something, thanks a lot for the help :krabbit:

So great news here. Strangely, my computer couldn't even reach 60 fps, since it's a bit old, but V-Sync worked, via Nvidia config.

I'm starting to think this has something to do with having a second screen and playing the game on it.

Thanks a lot for the help :)
