Cheating items? (The Lost)

Hello,

is there a way to cheat yourself the missing poster without disabling steam achievements and still getting the unlock achievement?

I have literally over 170+ hours, I have over 360 achievements by now, I have the forgotten, I have almost every single tainted character. I have almost every hard mode mark on a lot of characters.

Seriously I can not fathom, it is f###### mind BOGGLING how you would make an unlock like a character rng dependent. In my entire game time I have seen the poster ONCE and it was inside a challenge run. I am a big fan of the game, really am, but seriously what the f### did the devs smoke when thinking this is a fun idea?

I also can not understand the "you will just find it when you play normally" mentality. So many stans seem to defend the way to unlock the lost. It is atrocious and it seriously makes me angry.

Yes I used moms box every single run where I found it. In several runs I even had 99 coins and spent them all on energy bums, generating 20+ trinkets but never a single poster

-BUT WHAT ABOUT DIVORCE PAPERS
Yes I have unlocked the forgotten solely just to unlock this stupid item. I have spammed basement 1 runs and have gotten mysterious paper 5 times by now and it never unlocked the lost for me.

At this point I am GENUINELY worried my game is bugged or something, or am I doing something wrong?? Does the poster only appear on isaac??

Anyhow, it's just absolutely annoying to not get to play a character because of rng, one that I really looked forward to play ever since hearing about it (why the frick would you lock something like that behind rng instead of skill?????)

Regarding unlocks, the debug console has the exact same restriction as mods: enabling it prevents unlocks if you haven't unlocked the Womb yet on that save (first Mom kill). It prevents nothing past this point, no matter how you use it.

Enable the console, start a run, type "giveitem t23" in it. Now you just have to find a sacrifice room.

Yeah with a game as deep as this it is kind of crazy how long it takes for certain things to happen. On my Switch save which is about 200 hours I have unlocked the challenge Pica run, which is unlocked by gulping 4 or 5 trinkets in a single run. On my steam version that didn't happen for me until recently, with over 900 hours of game play. I finally got a run which dropped that many gulps and that many trinkets. 900 hours! That's madness.

there's a mod on the steam workshop called "start with missing poster", since you've beaten moms heart, mods don't disable steam achievements :) it's an alternative to spawning the item with console, and you can just disable it after.

I fking finally got it after 2 more hours divorce paper basement 1 grinds, I stayed on the non cheating path brothers

It took me longer to unlock Lost than it took for me to do all of the clear checks for him lmao.

You need to get the trinket, then hope a sacrifice room shows up, and then also be willing to throw whatever run you're on to unlock him. It's more inconvenient than it is difficult.
