Repentance won't launch

Repentance isn't launching via Steam through my PC anymore. Was working fine and one day just started refusing to launch. The window will pop up and Steam will say "launching executable", but then the window closes and Steam prompts me to "Play" the game.

I uninstalled all mods, uninstalled the game, and reinstalled all DLC one-by one. The game launches just fine until I install Repentance.
My graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650) drivers are up to date.

I've search through the reddit and Steam Forums and can't seem to find anything that actually points to a concrete answer. Anyone experience a similar issue that they eventually resolved?

Any guidance at all would be appreciated.

Go to Documents > My Games > Binding of Isaac Repentance > find the "options" configuration file, and open it. Look through to find "EnableMods=1", change it to 0 and save the file.

Be sure to open your mods file and delete the old mod files. That fixed it for me.
