When I play online mode it feels like I have input lag, offline mode is fine

That's entirely normal. That all depends on your connection to the other people in the lobby. I joined a lobby where it felt like the game was running at 5 fps, but i looked at my fps counter and it was 60. That was just a result of a poor connection to the other players.
P2P multiplayer moment. Hopefully Nicalis will add adjustable ping and player number restrictions to mitigate the issues.

Yeah this is totally not normal for P2P game like this, if you have played more than two games in your life you’ll know that it’s not ok
Everyone knows, it's why everyone is baffled what they've been doing for the year since the tests. They just don't have the network expertise. So they're still learning as they go when in fact they should just hire someone like Code Mystics to solve this embarrassment.

We need rollback netcode, and a setting to dictate input delay parameters. Otherwise it's hopeless especially when you don't have a WiFi vs Ethernet connection choice of filtering for games.

Unless this game is being developed by a literal skeleton crew of 2 people, it really doesn't make sense for updates to be this slow on a game with this much player activity.
