I ended up getting repentance immediately and even though i work constantly this is what ive been doing at home. a bit of bud and this game makes it one of my ultimate games. id like to get it on ps5 but its 60 to 70 usd for some reason.

Yes, I got the last achievement dead god at approximately 900-1100 hours, my advice would be that you focus on taking out all the post-its with the lost (t.lost) to learn to dodge projectiles and enemies, play only hard mode, on the other hand I recommend that you watch youtubers like lavencas or lazy mattman, download the item description mod and pray to the isaac gods

Around 3000? hours in both BoI and Boi rebirth + all dlcs together. 100% BoI at around 3-400 hours in, Rebirth i dont remember at what point i 100% it. As for advice, Learn to dodge and react quickly, Learn how to properly build a run early on and reject the notion that some dmg can't be avoidable.

Something interesting about isaac is that you will improve by playing more and more, you can see each room in the game as a puzzle to solve, the more you solve the same room the easier it will be to advance over time, at first it will seem almost impossible to reach hush and min maxing, after playing a lot you will be able to do things very quickly and may even break the game at some point in the game thanks to good decisions. On the other hand, yes, you are going to encounter clearly unfair situations (delirium for example) or random deaths but in the end you are going to learn to laugh at it. In short, it is an excellent game, at this point I consider it to be my favorite.

3k hours for Rebirth, less than 500 for the original Binding of Isaac. Half of that for Antibirth.
Not exactly sure my time on Dead God but certainly a month after Repentance came out, and the other endgame achievements for Rebirth/AB/AB+ similarly when they released.

A tip is to shake things up. After slamming your head against a wall on some tricky unlocks it's good to refresh your mojo with other playstyles, characters and gamemodes so you can come back feeling more motivated to try harder.
The game opens up in a lot of ways once you unlock the extra paths so there's always something new for each character.
I've got almost 800hrs and 87% i believe. i don't play as much as i used to but definitely what the people above said. Using the lost to learn to dodge is the hardest but best way - at least it was for me. Only playing hardmode is a big one too - no hardmode is a waste of time as you're looking at achievements. + Once you unlock all the options for endings and whatnot - when you feel you have a good run, try to make the most of it. especially on the characters you havent done any bosses on yet. what i mean is try to combine runs as in for example, try to do boss rush, then i would go to hush if you make time for it. before that you can try to get the key for ultra satan - that gives you a chance to go for delirium after finishing the chest/dark room. That's the way i usually go about it. And while you do all that you'll eventually get a feel when a run has a potential to be good.

What got me to buy the game was my friend and I played together on steam remote play. I was Magdalene and they were tainted forgotten. We made it to dogma but died to the ultra horsemen (i remember walking to the television wanting to watch tv and initiating the fight accidentally, right as my friend told me to wait to start the fight). Soon after I bought the game around May of this year, and then i played three hours and got interested in other games. Then I got back into it around October and have put 70 hours into it already and have purchased afterbirth+ and plan on getting repentance soon.
