Has guillotine ever NOT ruined your run?

Guillotine is an item I avoid at all costs. It makes aiming impossible, it's disorientating, and deadly if you have ipecac.

Have any of you ever LIKED this item or found it useful in any way?

Honestly, finding it in an item room is worse than finding the butter bean. If I accidentally take the butter bean my game isn't ruined.

I feel your pain. A lot of potentially good runs were ruined by curse of the blind and this item

So, one of the treasure rooms had this item. I was like: "A giant orbital, that might help".
I regret that. It didn't actually help. Maybe a little, but I was still running into bullets.

Funny you mention that.

I was having a crappy Eden run, so I used a 6 Dice Room.

I got Guillotine AND Ludovico.

Probably the worst build I've had.

That would certainly be a pain to move and control at the same time, though at least with ludovico you don't have to aim your constantly moving fire source in a straight line to try to hit thnigs.

I actually quite enjoy taking it whenever it appears. Sure, the distorted aiming is something to get used to, but once you get in the swing of it, you have nothing but 1+ dmg and -1 tear delay.

It's extremely disorienting to me. I keep trying to compensate for my shots no longer firing straight, and as a result, I keep taking dumb damage by walking into enemies and other hazards. I genuinely don't like it.

Its also pretty fun as Lilith, as your incubus still does the shooting and you get your own head as familiar to duplicate.

Not horrible, but disorientating as all hell.

I just wish using Box of Friends on it had the extra heads also shoot tears.

i use it if i have an item that makes aiming easier like bent spoon (psychic tears) or brimstone because it gives a damage up anyway

Guillotine is amazing with Lillith and still pretty good with everyone else. Takes a little bit to get used to but still a great item

I've actually had plenty of runs that have been made by guillotine as it's a good damage up and fire rate delay down and is a strong orbital. It's a incredibly useful item.

i would pick it up normally but if it was a devil room item i wouldn't waste a heart picking it up
