game lagging

so i recently realized that the "soundtrack menu" mod didnt work without other 3 mods. i got them, changed the soundtracks a little bit, and realized that whenever i hit my r key, it would take longer then usual and the audio would skip like a second. i deleted the 3 mods, deleted soundtrack menu, restarted my pc, reinstalled issac, and turned of the insta r key mod i have, but nothing worked. even when i turned the mod off, it would do the same thing exept more slowly. is there any way to fix this?

Odd, honestly some mods can make the game laggier, specially mods with lotsa scripts, lets say even after Repentance, the mod tools aint that great.

only helpful thing I can think of is to go to your nvidia control panel and change the settings for Isaac, specifically the energy settings, to prefer max perfomance, it did help me in areas it would slow down rarely like some rooms of Dross or Downpour.

maiby setting the priority of isaac to high with the task manager could help
