Victory lap
Should I do victory laps every time I get the chance?

Just do enough for the achievements and then you can ignore them.

Obligatory reminder: the only things you can unlock during Victory Laps are the ones you get by doing multiple VLs in a row (kill the Lamb, start a lap, kill the Lamb during that lap, start a new one, repeat - last unlock is Rerun). No other unlock is possible during VLs.

Thanks a heavy lot, I heard that victory laps block most unlocks so I got curious

Victory Laps are completely useless outside of these unlocks, and even then only Gulp! is the most useful unlock out of them, the butter is situational and Reruns are just another victory lap, also with achievements blocked so its a feature that was rushed, similar to most of AB+ honestly.

I remember for Repentance they planned on Reruns and victory laps to get reworked, featuring exclusive rooms with tainted enemies (similar to the ascension) but that never came to light.
