i have died to the sacrifice room spikes 3 times now while holding the missing poster, and i havent unlocked the lost, am i doing something wrong like dud i lost such a good eden run cuz of this

Are you getting any achievements? You can't get unlocks or acheivments if... well ,Naz does a better job explaining and less typing for me

Do not enable any mod whatsoever until you've unlocked the Womb floor, and make 100% sure the debug console is completely disabled.
To do the latter, check this link to know how to enable it, but put it at 0 instead of 1 to disable it.

Easy mistakes:

1- You die on the spikes of a curse room (spikes at the door) instead of a sacrifice room (spikes in the middle).

2- You only have Rebirth with no expansion. That's not how you unlock the Lost on that version (and only that one).

3- You try that during a "no unlock" situation.
List of things that prevent all kind of progress:
- Seeds (except a few special ones)
- Challenges (except for their reward obviously).
- Daily Runs.
- Reruns and Victory Laps (except for a few specific unlocks).
- Any active mod from the mod menu before Mom is killed once on that save (no matter what they do, other saves are irrelevant).
- Enabling the console before Mom is killed once on that save (even if you don't use it).
- Paranoid antivirus programs (or missing rights) preventing the game from creating/editing its save file.

4- You don't actually have the Missing Poster but another thing with a similar name ("A Missing Page" or "Missing Page 2" for example). The Missing Poster is a trinket unlocked by killing the Lamb as Isaac. This one:

5- A mod is somehow interfering and prevents the unlock in some way.

Just a thing; the last part of the old post you quote only applies if you haven't unlocked the Womb floors yet. I believe OP is way past that point now.

all the runs where i tried unlocking the lost i died in the sacrificing room spikes with the missing poster trinket, i was doing hard mode in those 3 times and the most recent one was a eden run where i was in the floor to fight moms heart, and yes i did have the missing poster on me (i only have 20 hours in the game so i dont know if i need to unlock any other items or anything else to get the lost) i will try to disable every mod before dying to the spikes to see if it works, thanks for the help
