The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

[Fixed] Where is the file registering the current run ?
I need to delete this file because it crashes my game.

I'm talking about the file that stores the saved run data, not the game's save file ! Those are deffinetly different : I deleted my save file and I still have those crashes.

That's actually the save file, so the last run itself doesn't seem to be your problem.
What did you do in the last run which makes you think that?
If the problem is within the current run, loading a backup should solve the issue. The game makes backups of your saves automatically there:
C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+
(Note: those are backups, not the ones the game reads to load the save, deleting them won't affect the game.)

Otherwise, any mod installed recently? Any update on another program (mainly your antivirus, some are known to block the game for no reason)?

If you're using workshop mods and disable them you'll be forced to start a new game. You can't continue.
If you are not using mods, you can enable them and you'll be forced to start a new game.

If it crashes when you continue then this could help.
@Nazemec : I'm sure this is not the same : I downloaded a 300,000,000 % save file to replace mine see if it works and it doesn't (but I do have the 300,000,000% mark before I choose a save). In the last run, I tested my own mod where I use the a function : "Game():GetLevel():SetStage()" and putted a stage ID that I created, but it crashes. Until then, my game crash when I load the file I'm playing usually. I'll try the backup thing.

@MobiusPizza & @Nazemec : I tried : deleting the mod folder, disabling all mods, enabling all mods, and it didn't work.
Backup doesn't work too.
Nevermind it works ! I tried again with Steam Cloud disabled and it now works. Sorry for the trouble @Nazemec, and thanks a lot. Still weird though that when I put a downloaded save file, it kept crashing.

If someone have the same issue, ask me if you want details.

Maybe Steam decided to load the cloud save without caring for the one you installed manually, even though it should ask you what to do in such a case.

Anyway, glad it got fixed.
No, they usually ask only when you modify saves on a different computer, so it probably is what happened.
