The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Can you transfer save files from pc to xbox one?
This is probably one of the dumbest things I've ever asked. I'm very far on isaac on my computer, and barely done with any of the characters on my xbox. I figured an xbox controller would be more fun to play on (as well as a tv), but i dont want to have to go through everything again. If by the slim chance that there's a way to do this, please tell me. Sorry if my idiocy makes you rage.

You can play with a controller on the PC version.
It is possible to connect a PC to a television.
...
What are you waiting for? x)
Due to the nature of working with Microsoft, I'm 95% sure it isn't possible.

Edit: Nazemec is right. Might need to move a desktop computer, but it's not thaaaat bad.

Technical Explanation:
I haven't worked too much with xbox saving necessarily (I've been handling other parts of the porting process for our projects), but I can definitely say that Microsoft is absolutely obsessed with their own structures. Working in Unity, the default saving method (PlayerPrefs) does not work at all, and the game is not allowed to write anything to the console. All saves must be created and stored through the XDP's ConnectedStorage, which is exclusively their own system.

I would suspect that the save data is more or less the same, but you would need to reverse-engineer the ConnectedStorage to mimic it. And at that point, you wouldn't really be transferring your save- You would just be constructing your own save file. And the other issue with this could be that it uses the Steam cloud saves. I have not even looked at the files for this game, but if they're using Steam, then chances are that the save file also exists with some Steam-specific functionality, which you may also need to figure out.

I won't say it's completely impossible, cause in the world of programming, there is nothing that can't be done, but... For all intents and purposes, it's pretty much impossible. lol

I would do that, but i don't want to have to use a xbox 360 controller (i only have two, the first one's broken, and the second one is gone (plus the "feel" of an xbox one controller is much better)).

I also don't want to have to use the computer, becuase seeing two screens of the same game gets me distracted when I'm on a difficult fight.

You can have a computer (laptop or desktop) only display on the "second screen" meaning, in this case, the TV.

Also, if you have a micro USB cable, you can hook up an xbone controller and it works natively.
Can't you just download a the save and transfer it to the Xbox or download a save from the internets
Just use the xbox one controller on pc

Great post. Not only did they probably figure it out sometime in the last 7 years, it's also literally the first answer that has been given. What is wrong with you?
