I Need Help With Judas
So i've been playing as isaac for a very long time, and i've been doing great with him. Later on i decided it's time to make a switch. I started to play Judas after a while and the first 2 runs with him were amazing. I had insanely high damage and both generally an OP run. But later on the next 21 runs was a huge lose streak. I need some tips with him i almost have over 100 hours of Afterbirth but i don't seems to get why im so bad. Any tips on Judas? Should I ever switch out the Book Of Belial as him?

1.)Why, it's because you made the sudden change from 3 hearts to one! Play a couple rounds as cain to get used to small health.
2.)Only if it's a good item, like Tammy's Head

Anyhow, the main thing for Judas is, make sure you have lots of health, and don't get hit so you can get as many devil deals as possible. Judas is a character based around Devil Deals, making him more powerful and much more useful, at the cost of being a glass cannon early on.

As for a swapout for the Book of Belial, a personal favorite is the Nail, as it gives you a cushon to prevent losing health which can lead to annoying runs.

Thanks, this really helped. Normally i like to keep some red hearts and the rest soul hearts. Is keeping red hearts as judas worth it? Or shuold i swap them all out for soul hearts? My biggest problem is sometimes i don't get enough Red or soul hearts leaving me with 2 or less Red hearts. At that point i have no clue what to do.

Keep as many as you feel safe having, but have a decent balance to cushon yourself if you make a mistake.
The main "Trick" for Judas is to only get items that would be useful. Followers? Not worth it, unless you're running with extremely low hp, in that case spring for Dark Bum. Definately get Goat head. Brimstone, definately worth it. Use items, aside from the Nail, are useless, as Judas is focussed on damage output, and both Belial and Nail raise damage. Damage upgrades, if you have spare hearts nearing the Womb. Orbitals, if you plan on going for the Secret Boss, are worth it. ♥♥♥♥♥ of Babylon if you feel strongly about having 1 real heart.

Thanks again for the feedback! Still gonna need to get use to the 1hp but this is really great advice. I have to get better at dodging as Judas. I always get hit on everything even in the silliest of rooms. I also felt like i was behind others for having 100 hours in but not able to beat Chest with Judas.
