Bomb Bum

So I now have 400 hours on this game and I have never once seen a bomb bum. Are they an unlock or are they just that rare?

They are just really rare, I have almost 600 hours in the game and I also have never seen one.

I'm close to 900 hours, and I've never seen one.

In comparison, I've seen 100+ of Key Bums, Devil Beggers, and Beggers each.

real sure.
picked up a card in a shop once it was Judgement, used it and a bomb bum appeared.
unfortunately had no bombs and was already done with that floor. ;-;
came across a bomb bum in an arcade room too

I've seen him in one run multiple times, but that's due to lots of batteries + judgement card (the only way he spawns to my knowledge) + blank card. Took about 30 to get the first one to spawn, they're pretty rare.

207 hours here, and I've managed to find him once (I think it was from a Judgement card). Had more than enough bombs to spare and decided to donate for a while, but got bored because he just kept giving me more bombs in exchange. I know he gives you items (bomb-related ones, but still), so I guess I got unlucky :P

It would be awesome if he could rarely give you dr. Fetus and also epic fetus
