Trouble Importing Isaac Savefiles on MacOS
I had my games on a PC, however I wanted to use my Macbook to play Isaac casually (because it's the only game I play).

Because I'd already installed steam on my Mac, I thought the steam cloud would have my data saved, so I uninstalled steam on my pc and I opened up Isaac on my Mac just to find that my files weren't saved or don't appear to be on the cloud.

Thankfully, I found a folder on my pc that has many save files (rep_persistentgamedata1.dat), so I sent it to may mail, downloaded the file on my Mac but I cannot find where to place it. I've managed to get to the Isaac folder on steam}steamapps}... and all that but there isn't a folder with save files like there's on windows.

I even played a run to see if that would create a folder but still nothing.

I don't feel like putting in 70 hours to the game again, and if I can't import my savefile I don't feel like playing anymore. Any help is appreciated!

Last time I checked, Repentance wasn't supported on Mac systems at all. As in, Steam can't install it, and it can't run. And most likely never will.
So I don't understand how transferring a Repentance save on Mac could be useful in any way? I'm confused. But if it can somehow run, great, I guess. :dip:

Anyway, according to the pinned thread:
Locate the save data directory in the following location, depending on your operating system:
  • Windows Vista/7/8/10: Inside your user folder, usually C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Rebirth
  • Windows XP: Inside your user folder, usually C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Rebirth
  • Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Binding of Isaac Rebirth/
  • Linux: ~/.local/share/binding of isaac rebirth
For the DLCs, the folder is called "Binding of Isaac Afterbirth", or "Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+" instead of "Binding of Isaac Rebirth".
Locate your Steam Cloud remote directory in the following location, depending on your operating system. This is where your saved games are located:
  • Windows: Inside your Steam install folder, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[account id]\250900\remote
  • Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/[account id]/250900/remote
  • Linux: ~/.steam/steam/userdata/[account id]/250900/remote
I naively imagine a Repentance folder would follow the same logic.

Yeah, I just realized that. But now i'd like to run my savefile in ABP. I mean, keep unlocking achievements from the same savefile to have the characters and everything I unlocked. But because Repentance has it's own savefile I can't use it on mac.

If i can't, I'd have no problem installing a mod that unlocks everything or adding a savefile with 100% on ABP. Can you help me with that?

The game uses different save files for each version. AB+ simply can't read a Rep save file and never will, and any progress you'll make on AB+ will not be added to your Rep save.

You could just get a 100% save file from the Internet, it shouldn't be that hard to find. Just make sure to get one from May 2018 or later (latest AB+ content update, the one adding the Forgotten).
Alternatively, you could kill Mom once on your new AB+ save, enable any mod (even an empty folder in the mod folder would be enough, the point is to enable the console), open the debug console, and type the command " achievement * " (without the quotes). This should unlock everything on that save (as well as all AB+ Steam achievements you might be missing, if any).
