and used HDRswitch so it forces fullscreen apps that dont support HDR Like BOI+ https://github.com/bradgearon/hdr-switch/releases under default . I haven't tried the taskbar toggle yet I just like a shortcut.
Hope those Help . Not sure why the dev never will put back the brightness toggle but Modern solutions for old games. GL
Gamma is the brightness. On a technical level it's slightly different meaning if you're being exact but in practice gamma is the brightness you can just turn that up.
No Gamma is Gamma
Gamma changes the difference between dark and light areas.
Increasing Gamma makes dark areas darker and light areas lighter. It's more akin to contrast than anything.
Brightness decreases the range of lightness without changing the starting dark point.
The Luminosity is changed and it messes it up
Your solution is wash all the colors out not bring up the value of brightness which is the Issue when things are both dark and dim & colorless, it "Makes things hard to see".
On a 4k HDR Tv I'd like to play a game as intended, and if the dev thinks it should be washed out and muddled across the board then I am not looking to pretend to remove 1/2 of my cones to play a game.
So ya a lot of the modern day gamers using a HDR setup for Brights and contrasts don't want to jump back and forth on their monitor/tv Settings for a Game from Newgrounds.
Aside the point I already fixed it by forcing the HDR on and to adapt to the dim as heck screen.
As for removing the brightness option . if it wasn't broke don't fix it
needless to say, I'm enjoying this waaay more now (even though it's still a disgrace to the original, graphics-wise)
