I'm grinding azazel on normal mode tryina get this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skeleton, help me

First off, play AB+, so that way, stomps are negated by Pyromaniac and Host Hat. Next, reset until Pyromaniac or Host Hat. Then just don't die.

mhmm, one problem. I play repentance, do those items still prevent stomps in repentance?

Azazel is a good start. On top of that the only thing to do to make it easier is just practicing and trying to get a good starting item (magic mushroom/brim/sacred hearth/free health generating items)

I'm a little bit dissapointed, I got controlled tears on the first floor and died on boss rush haha

Pick an active item at the boss rush (if there is one) and remember to take the shovel again before you kill all the waves. At least that way you wouldn't have mom's foot stomping during boss rush.

After clearing rooms use her stomps to break rocks to get blue hearts and so.

Also batterie related items are good for activating the shovel more often and being safer.

Why would you need to pick up an active item there? Just use the shovel.

I don't remember exactly how it works but I thought the shovel only deactivates the stomps for a single wave.
If you are right then yeah just pick your favorite item of the 4 and use the shovel.

I lucked into Gnawed Leaf for this. While timing it in order to not get stomped can be tricky, the stomps themselves are a Leaf-compliant damage source.
