It's not as much of a chore to fight him when you got a strong if not broken run that melts or chunks his hp down well enough (which you sorta should have if you've made it to the Void). Don't even attempt to fight him with Lost/T. Lost without a cracked run and a ♥♥♥♥ ton of I frame items. Though, again, Delirium is mostly just bugging out between shifts, devs probably just gave up on fixing him either way.
His actual attack patterns can be learned, it's just his schizo jumping and seconds worth of boss shape changes that throw you off.
Absolutely, Delirium on Afterbirth+ initial release it was even worse. Now it just sucks and stinks of just not caring much to get the game out. ED has let too many projects go to the crapper. Delirium could have been such a rad boss. Sadly we just got loads of blue rooms and a game of Cluedo boss fights
