ngl i agree with the mother part but if you like getting telefragged then sure deli might be fun for you :/
Controversial Man Mar 18, 2022 @ 10:19am

deliriums a good, challenging boss but mother is bullcrap

Because ''everyone'' do not reroll their game and don't give up on their unsuccessfull run, making it to theese bosses and having like 2-6 hearts left with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ items. (my english is bad). Also depends on what character does a person play.

Mother has a pattern, that the player is able to learn as they play. She's more or less The Lich from Enter the Gungeon.

But Deli is a different story. There will be unavoidable damage, depending on which bosses you've fought during the run (and one of them will almost always be Mom).

Delirium is super easy, I agree with that. Telefrags suck but I rarely have it happen. Mother is also pretty fine

Mother isnt bad if you have good items or are good at dodging but Delirium can teleport his bullets inside you when he becomes mom foot, i’ve seen some videos of lost/t lost runs ending in complete bs because bullets spawn inside them with zero warning

the only final boss i absolutely hate is hush due to the continuum spam and his high ass damage reduction wich makes him look like he has 35k health on his 2nd phase instead of 6666 health

and also the fact that you gotta reach him by defeating it lives under 30 minutes and i never get mama mega

Man idk, I tend to burn through Hush's hp fairly quickly, and his continuum is fairly easy to dodge after multiple attempts. The longest it's ever taken me to kill Hush was like around 3 mins so he isn't really that tanky at all.

They're both annoying, I agree. Delirium (main form) has a lot of annoying patterns that it can use from pretty much anywhere at any time, plus the attacks of many other bosses that you can be surprised by, plus it spawns things you have to deal with, plus it teleports completely at random. The last is the worst because it can make some offenses hard to set up. Like most other bosses with armor, it feels like a slog because you know it doesn't have as many HP as it feels like it has. But it also has a surprisingly large number of different bullet patterns, if the wiki is reliable, and since it's always changing its form and moving all over the place without warning it's tough to get an idea of what they all are. I don't actually find myself dying to it all that much any more just because by the time you get through all the stages that lead to it, you're usually pretty beefy and one or two slipups doesn't hurt much. Naturally that doesn't apply to the challenge characters.

Mother shares some of those annoyances. It's always frustrating when bosses shoot fast and well aimed projectiles that happen several seconds after the "main" attack, and Mother has a couple of attacks like that. You have to pay close attention during that attack with the horizontal and vertical combs of bullets so that you don't dodge into an earlier line that hasn't fallen down yet--it feels like that shouldn't ever be a problem, but I find myself doing it all the time. It's tempting to think that just a controlled tap in a cardinal direction is enough to keep from getting hit, but it doesn't seem to be.

I get hit much more often by Hush's blue lasers than continuum bullets. I remember in the older version I'd sometimes just pick a place and stand still and the continuum shots would somehow all miss. Maybe they were going over my head, or maybe I was just lucky, or maybe I was always way off to the side of the bullets and forgot that was what I was doing. Trying to wiggly dodge them didn't ever work out too well for me. Those parts of the fight feel different with rep, though I don't know why.

Honestly, Ultra Greed and Ultra Greedier give me more heartburn just because greed mode limits your character buildup so much relative to the main game--and I don't mean restart farming because I don't do that unless the first item is Lemon Mishap or something. Plus, again, the armor just makes the fight feel like it takes forever. That probably indicates that I'm leaning on good items more than being able to play right, especially nowadays in the mod era, but whatever.

Hush's continuum attack is designed in a way that you can always dodge it by staying in place as long as you get in a good position

Mother only has one attack that's really painful and that's the fistula ping-pong attack. Other than that each of her attacks can be consistently dodged. Delirium can go burn in hell with that telefragging bs he pulls. Other than that or a few specific bosses he can turn into, he's not the absolute worst thing in the world to fight (Lost/T. Lost excluded. Any durable bullet hell boss is much harder for them specifically)

^ This. Literally every end game boss has patterns that can be learned and dodged with enough skill and practice. Delirium will always be a bugged pile of ♥♥♥♥ of a boss fight because he just flings around the room left and right.

Going randomly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ while appearing and disappearing every few spaces isn't a good boss design, but Eddung and Killfun would rather nerf the donation machine than fix a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mark boss that's been bugged for years.
