Tips for unlocking Bethany?

Must beat hard mode with Lazarus without losing a life. Easier said that done. lol

Do you just have to beat Mother? Does that mean just not dying or not losing a single heart?

Not dying dude, you can lose a life, but u need beat Mom's Heart/It Lives.

My tip: keep trying till you good start, its not that hard. Anyway Bethany is worth it.

Both Mom and the heart/fetus are instakilled by the bible, if you can get it. It's not too rare to find.

You just have to beat Mom's Heart / It Lives to unlock Bethany. If you want, you can just opt out of the run right afterwards.

In regards to the bible, is it a treasure room item or a a store item?

Took me about 10 tries but it's doable. This game is more about luck than skill, imo.

keep restarting till u get a good first item.
id also go for angel rooms for that extra healing, since ur not allowed to die.

I was able to beat Mom without dying but nothing happened.

Was I supposed to kill It Lives as well???

You have to kill It Lives/Mom's Heart without dying

Also if you can find the Rosary item, it drastically increases the chance of the Bible showing up somewhere, so be on the lookout for that thing too.
